Frequently asked questions

How do I use a peptide reconstitution calculator?

Enter the vial strength in milligrams and the volume of bacteriostatic water you plan to add. The calculator returns the concentration (mg/mL), and — for a chosen amount per draw — the draw volume in millilitres and the equivalent units on a U-100 syringe.

What is the peptide reconstitution formula?

Concentration equals the peptide amount divided by the diluent volume: mg ÷ mL = mg/mL. The volume to draw for a given amount is that amount divided by the concentration. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units equal 1 mL.

How much bacteriostatic water should I add to a peptide vial?

There is no single correct volume — it sets the concentration. More water gives a more dilute solution that is easier to measure in small increments; less water gives a more concentrated one. Pick a volume that makes your target amounts land on easy-to-read syringe markings.

How many units do I draw on a U-100 syringe?

Units equal the draw volume in millilitres times 100. For example, at 5 mg/mL a 0.5 mg amount is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 syringe.
