GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the copper complex of a naturally occurring tripeptide (glycine-histidine-lysine) found in human plasma and other fluids. Its levels are highest in youth and decline with age. It is supplied here as an analytical-grade reference material for laboratory research use only.

Most of the literature centers on skin: collagen production, extracellular-matrix remodeling, and wound healing in cell and animal models. Newer work also explores antioxidant effects and repair in tissues such as lung and ligament. Much of it is preclinical or formulation-focused rather than large human trials.

Copper is an essential cofactor for enzymes that build and stabilize tissue, including those that cross-link collagen. Researchers study GHK-Cu partly as a controlled way to deliver copper to cells, and the chemistry of that copper binding is itself a topic of study.

Not substantially. The strongest evidence is from laboratory and animal studies, along with formulation chemistry aimed at getting the peptide into skin. Rigorous, large-scale human trials remain limited, which is an important caveat when interpreting the research.
